Dipole Antenna is one of the most fundamental and widely used antenna types, consisting of two symmetrical conductive elements with a total length typically equal to half the wavelength (λ/2) of the operating frequency. It is center-fed to excite resonance, producing a characteristic figure-eight radiation pattern with maximum radiation perpendicular to the axis of the elements (gain approximately 2.15 dBi) and a nominal free-space impedance of 73 Ω. Known for its simple structure and low cost, the dipole antenna is extensively used in FM radio broadcasting, television reception, RFID tags, and short-range communication systems. It also serves as the fundamental element in many complex antennas, such as the Yagi-Uda antenna.
