The dual-polarized horn antenna is a precision microwave antenna capable of simultaneously supporting two orthogonal polarized waves (typically ±45° linear polarization or left/right-hand circular polarization). It employs an integrated ortho-mode transducer (OMT) to achieve polarization separation, featuring high port isolation (>30 dB), low cross-polarization (<-25 dB), and broad bandwidth (typically with a 2:1 frequency ratio). While retaining the inherent advantages of horn antennas, such as high gain (10-25 dBi) and low voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR <1.5), the dual-channel design enhances channel capacity and mitigates multipath fading. This antenna is widely used in high-end applications requiring polarization information processing, including 5G millimeter-wave base stations, satellite communication polarization diversity, EMC testing, and radar target identification.
