Dual Polarized Horn Antenna 10dBi Typ.Gain, 24GHz-42GHz Frequency Range RM-DPHA2442-10

Short Description:

The RM-DPHA2442-10 is a full-band, dual-polarized, WR-28 choke flange feed horn antenna assembly that operates in the frequency range of 24 to 42GHz. The antenna features an integrated orthogonal mode converter that provides high port isolation. The RM-DPHA2442-10 supports vertical and horizontal waveguide orientations and has a typical 35 dB cross-polarization Isolation, a nominal gain of 10 dBi at the center frequency, a typical 3db beamwidth of 60 degrees in the E-plane, a typical 3db beamwidth of 60 degrees in the H-plane. The input to the antenna is a WR-28 waveguide with a UG-599/U-M flanges and 4-40 threaded holes.

  • The dual-polarized horn antenna is a precision microwave antenna capable of simultaneously supporting two orthogonal polarized waves (typically ±45° linear polarization or left/right-hand circular polarization). It employs an integrated ortho-mode transducer (OMT) to achieve polarization separation, featuring high port isolation (>30 dB), low cross-polarization (<-25 dB), and broad bandwidth (typically with a 2:1 frequency ratio). While retaining the inherent advantages of horn antennas, such as high gain (10-25 dBi) and low voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR <1.5), the dual-channel design enhances channel capacity and mitigates multipath fading. This antenna is widely used in high-end applications requiring polarization information processing, including 5G millimeter-wave base stations, satellite communication polarization diversity, EMC testing, and radar target identification.
