The dual circularly polarized horn antenna is a high-performance antenna capable of simultaneously generating or receiving left-hand/right-hand circularly polarized waves. By integrating an ortho-mode transducer (OMT) and a circular polarizer (multi-stage dielectric phase-shifting structure or helical design), it enables independent dual-channel operation over a broad bandwidth (e.g., 2:1 frequency ratio), featuring extremely low axial ratio (<3 dB), high isolation (>30 dB), and a stable phase center. This antenna effectively addresses Faraday rotation effects in satellite communications, eliminates polarization mismatch losses, and supports polarization diversity and MIMO technology. It is widely used in applications with stringent demands for polarization purity, such as satellite communications on-the-move, deep space exploration, radar polarization measurement, and 5G millimeter-wave systems.
